Bagger 288

They say it's a limestone digger. YEAH OKAY. I'm sure that's why the Germans built a giant fucking tank-saw that could cut Voltron in half, is to mine for limestone. We never should have trusted 'em after that unpleasantness back in the 1940's.

The real question is: how in the hell did we let them get away with building the first 287? Boy, they really caught us nappin' on this one.

Awesome Wikipedia Pages: List of Cryptids

Cryptozoology is basically the pursuit of legends, i.e. looking for creatures like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, whatever may be a real-life basis for the mythical kewpie, etc. It's fascinating as hell, and even as filled as it is with charlatans and attention-seekers, every now and then, they fucking find something.

The creatures cryptozoologists pursue are called cryptids, and here is a list of pretty much all of them. If you've got a boring-ass job and your company's NetNanny doesn't yet block WikiPedia, you can kill a whole week at this page. Enjoy.

It kind of pisses me off that they removed the Bili Ape a.k.a. Bondo Mystery Ape a.k.a. fucking Lion-Killer Ape just because it turned out to be real. For years they only knew this gorilla-sized chimp existed because every now and then the natives would catch a glimpse of one, or else come across the remains of lions that had been beaten to death. How fucking badass is that? And they're 100% real. Sometimes it's an awesome world.

Craig Ferguson's Puppet WIN Part 2: Geoff Peterson

Very brief background: Craig Ferguson had the Mythbusters' Grant Imahara build him a robot skeleton sidekick. He teased it for months, and on the night the sidekick, named Geoff Peterson, debuted, this is how Craig introduced him.

This video is precisely why I love Craig Ferguson. He does what he wants, and what he wants to do is always goofy, funny, and cool as shit. The song is "Look Out, There's a Monster Coming" by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. Really.

Talking Carl Scream Fight

Adorable, yet psychotic. A hard balance to strike. Two little animated iPhone apps shriek at each other. Divine.

Axe Cop

A web comic written by a 5-year-old and illustrated by his 29-year-old brother. Pure genius. Everybody has their favorite character; my friend Abbie's in Unibaby, but I like Sockarang. Click the badge for unmitigated awesomeness.

Lionel Richie Huffing Helium and Singing "Hello"

If that doesn't make you giggle, check your green fur and yellow eyes. Because you are a Grinch.
