Bollywood's Bruce Li

No, that's not a typo. After Bruce Lee died, there was what was called the "Bruceploitation" movement in martial arts films, with actors named Bruce Li, Le, Lei, Lie, and many other variations all biting on The Dragon's style and making money off his name. The reason I say this is Bollywood's Bruce Li and not Lee is because the fake Bruces were known for creating fight scenes so laughably bad they achieved a kind of tragicomic gloriousness. Like this scene.

Best Moment: At the 3:40 mark, a random bad guy (maybe the main bad guy, not really sure) randomly abducts what is either a child, a midget, Little Superstar, or a Zuni warrior doll.

Auto-Tune the News

God I hope they do more of these. Katie Couric sounds awesome.

Disturbing Strokes

Music: it's more important than you think. It's what kept the Princess Bride from being perfect, what made Requiem For a Dream get mistaken for genius, and a simple change to the opening credits of Diff'rent Strokes produces something truly dreadful. And I do literally mean "filled with dread". Enjoy.

We Didn't Start the Flame War

I wasn't expecting this to be very good, but I was pleasantly surprised. It captures the general vibe of the internet fairly accurately. EDIT: It seems College Humor has not fixed their embedding code to go widescreen, so... I guess click it once, then click it again to open in another window if you want widescreen, otherwise I've configured it to be boxy. Likelihood of future links from College Humor: diminishing.

EVERYBODY PANIC IT'S A DOUBLE POST DAY

Figure I hadn't updated in more than a week, that means I can double post today. Plus, when I saw this, I basically had to post it. You don't understand how huge a chunk of my childhood Mega Man 2 was.

Britney Spears - Kill the Lights (Rock Remix)

A very well done rock mash-up by Kevin Figueijgiuegueoerido.

Malice In Wonderland

Hey, look, everybody! It's the one video that convinced me to never, ever try LSD!

Oh: the preceding video contained a lot of nudity and numerous disturbing images. If that's not your thing, you probably shouldn't have watched it. Especially not in the office, what the hell's the matter with you?

Open-mindedness

Those who claim to be the most open-minded are often the least. Case in point: has a devout Christian ever accused you of being closed-minded* because you're not Christian? Do they seem so very open-minded if you should attempt to discuss the tenets and beliefs of Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, or Zoroastrianism on the same plane as their own religion? Suddenly, that door shuts real quick.

*I love this video, despite the fact that it clings to the belief that "close-minded" or "closed-minded" is the opposite of the word "open-minded". It isn't. The proper word is "narrow-minded", although I sense that will cease being true in another few years due to "common usage". The English language is very open-minded.
