Steampunk Jabberwocky

Completely badass. Illustrated by Eran Cantrell, available in its entirety on his deviantArt page. Click right here to start reading. Just keep hitting "Full View" on the left menu, then "Next" in the Info section. So cool.

Bagger 288

They say it's a limestone digger. YEAH OKAY. I'm sure that's why the Germans built a giant fucking tank-saw that could cut Voltron in half, is to mine for limestone. We never should have trusted 'em after that unpleasantness back in the 1940's.

The real question is: how in the hell did we let them get away with building the first 287? Boy, they really caught us nappin' on this one.

Awesome Wikipedia Pages: List of Cryptids

Cryptozoology is basically the pursuit of legends, i.e. looking for creatures like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, whatever may be a real-life basis for the mythical kewpie, etc. It's fascinating as hell, and even as filled as it is with charlatans and attention-seekers, every now and then, they fucking find something.

The creatures cryptozoologists pursue are called cryptids, and here is a list of pretty much all of them. If you've got a boring-ass job and your company's NetNanny doesn't yet block WikiPedia, you can kill a whole week at this page. Enjoy.

It kind of pisses me off that they removed the Bili Ape a.k.a. Bondo Mystery Ape a.k.a. fucking Lion-Killer Ape just because it turned out to be real. For years they only knew this gorilla-sized chimp existed because every now and then the natives would catch a glimpse of one, or else come across the remains of lions that had been beaten to death. How fucking badass is that? And they're 100% real. Sometimes it's an awesome world.

Craig Ferguson's Puppet WIN Part 2: Geoff Peterson

Very brief background: Craig Ferguson had the Mythbusters' Grant Imahara build him a robot skeleton sidekick. He teased it for months, and on the night the sidekick, named Geoff Peterson, debuted, this is how Craig introduced him.

This video is precisely why I love Craig Ferguson. He does what he wants, and what he wants to do is always goofy, funny, and cool as shit. The song is "Look Out, There's a Monster Coming" by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. Really.

Talking Carl Scream Fight

Adorable, yet psychotic. A hard balance to strike. Two little animated iPhone apps shriek at each other. Divine.

Axe Cop

A web comic written by a 5-year-old and illustrated by his 29-year-old brother. Pure genius. Everybody has their favorite character; my friend Abbie's in Unibaby, but I like Sockarang. Click the badge for unmitigated awesomeness.

Lionel Richie Huffing Helium and Singing "Hello"

If that doesn't make you giggle, check your green fur and yellow eyes. Because you are a Grinch.

Imagine If the Tea Party Was Black

A very interesting opinion piece. Read it here.

As my friend Omari said: "This has been done already, it was called The Black Panther Party. they were infiltrated by the CIA, framed for murders and other crimes, and killed in their homes by the police." Plus Forrest Gump beat the shit out of a guy at one of their meetings.

The Maria Bamford Show

If you remember the website SuperDeluxe that was advertised FUCKING INCESSANTLY on [adult swim], you may have actually seen this when it first came out. If not, don't worry about it, it was only like two years ago and it's still hilarious. The Bammer is vastly underrated. There are twenty of these, and I advise you to watch each and every one of them.

GTA Hard

There are a lot of GTA4 machinamas out there, but this one is easily among the best. Great editing and music, cinematic as hell. One thing: skip the first minute because the opening monologue is delivered in a ridiculous Sly-Stallone-as-Batman voice. Crops up again at the end, too. Everything else is great.

Tea Party Jesus

The words of Christians, in the mouth of Christ. Needless to say it's 50% funny, 50% deeply troubling.

Frankie Valli - Beggin' (Cyriak Remix)

This guy Cyriak is amazing. I'd hate to be trapped inside his head like in that shitty Jennifer Lopez movie, but it's fine with me if every now and then he lets a little of this genius/crazy leak out. Go visit his YouTube channel.

Craig Ferguson's Puppet WIN

Here's Jason Segel & Nathan Danforth with The Broken West performing an awesome, up-tempo version of "Dracula's Lament" on Craig Ferguson's 1000th show, hosted by Wavy the Crocodillygator. It's hard to overstate just how ball-drainingly spectacular everything about this performance is.

This just might be my favorite Christopher Walken line of all time. You'll know it when you hear it.

If you live in Houston (or if they ever tour), go see these guys. Most punk rock live show I've seen in 15 years.

HEALTH - We Are Water

A nice little music video, directed in classic slasher style by Eric Wareheim. Extremely violent, so I love it. Also: when that person takes the wig off at the end, is it still a chick? It looks like it's probably still a chick... LOOK SHOULD I BE AROUSED OR NOT?

Sting of the Scorpion GTA4 Style

I'm back, whores. Hooray.

Let's start things off with that old 70's Spider Man cartoon, featuring dialogue from Grand Theft Auto 4. What? Yeah, it's been almost a year and this is what I come back with. Don't tell me you were expecting some kind of grand re-opening.
